High-precision resonant circuit coil

Task:

Manufacture of resonant circuit coils, which are used as part of an electrical resonant circuit in satellite communication.

Challenge:

A dimensional accuracy better than 3µm is required to keep the deviations in frequency stability as low as possible.

CEMEC’s solution:

• Development of a manufacturing strategy to mill the coil from solid material with high precision
• Implementation in high-gloss milling for subsequent gold plating

Scope of services of CEMEC:

• Execution of a feasibility study in the form of an initial sample
• CNC programming and manufacturing on the KERN MicroHD
• Delivery of the series with individual measurement reports

Added value for the customer:

• Found CEMEC to be the only supplier for this highly complex component
