Development of a new type of ventilation turbine

Finished injection molded part that does not need to be balanced due to its quality.

Task

A turbine has to be developed for a ventilator that is particularly quiet yet very powerful. A linear increase of the flow rate in correlation to the rotational speed is the goal.

Development - Sampling

Sample of the turbine disk. Material is titanium alloy to be as light as possible.
Optimisation variant of the conventional turbine geometry

CEMEC developed the turbine with different variants. Design and calculation of the variants with production of the samples and test setups. Measurement of the air performance with sound measurement and analyses of the noise development. Optimization of the fan wheel geometry with significant reduction of the noise level and simultaneous increase of the air flow rate.

Qualification

Turbine prototype for performance qualification.
Qualification of the new turbine with increase in pressure curve and flow rate

Production of a final qualification turbine and performance measurements with accompanying sound design. Consulting and support during the production of the injection mold. Acceptance of injection mold with final measurement of serial parts.

The air output is linear to the rotational speed. Maximum speed is 28.000 rpm.
